| Saint Priscilla was born an infant into the nobel roman house of Glabrio. The roman family named Glabrio enjoyed the pinnacle of power and wealth in ancient Rome. No fewer than 9 Glabrio men held the position of Counsel of Rome,including one who shared power with Marc Anthony of Cleopatra fame who was queen of Egypt. The family of Saint Priscilla sat at the table of Nero the roman emporer. Saint Priscilla was given the name Priscella Glabrio on the day of her birth. Priscilla is the english version of the latin version Priscella. When Saint Priscilla was a young woman she had a reputation of being called the most beautiful woman in all of Rome. Priscilla adored flowers and wore them in her hair. Roman generals and roman senators bent thier knee to her to look upon her beauty. Priscilla was a beautiful wealthy young woman whose destiny was written in the stars. Priscilla was not only beautiful but wise for a young maid. She chose a man to be her husband who was honorable, wealthy and experianced in Roman political affairs. Quintus Cornelius Pudens was a man much more advanced in years than young Priscilla. A man who had commanded Roman legions in bloody battles. A man with a reputation for honor and dignity. A man strong enough to be elected a senator of Rome. | |||

| The husband of Saint Priscilla,Quintus Cornelius Pudens is a direct decendant of this woman of virtue. A statue of her was voted in by the senate to honor her memory. Latin Pudens means chastity. Scipio Africana who defeated hannibal at carthage was her father. A Glabrio general was co-counsel with Scipio on the battlefield that day. | |||
